 You need to have a full motorcycle licence and have passed your test.

The training is suitable if :

• You have completed the DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme, Bike Safe, Biker Down and you want to know more and want to improve your safety whilst riding.
• You want to train to an advanced test standard but do not want to take      the test.
• You are having a problem with cornering, roundabouts, overtaking etc.
• You are upgrading to a more powerful motorcycle.
• You are returning to riding after a break and are unsure of your      standard.
• You are preparing for a RoSPA advanced or IAM test independently of      their groups.

Our Advanced Rider Training is based on Motorcycle Roadcraft - The Police Riders Handbook.

RoSPA and IAM groups are charities and all of their observers are volunteers. They do a very good job however you are reliant on their availability and the management style of their group e.g. they may only be available one day a month which may not suit you or or you may have to attend 8 Sundays in a row.

What do we do differently?

• We are working for you, and you do not have to join any group to train with us.
• There is no waiting list.
• Our training is provided 1-2-1.
• Your training plan is discussed and agreed with you.
• You could pass your advanced test within three months or sooner depending on your development.
• You can take as long as you like to training up to the standard.
• You do not have to take the advanced test if you do not want.

Your assessment is with an expert coach and will be over different road and traffic conditions. The coach will make an assessment of your skills and then discuss with you a personal development plan.

Based on your assessment ride, your development plan will focus on elements that you require to raise your riding standard based on the following.

• Becoming a better rider
• The system of motorcycle control
• Information, observation and anticipation
•   Anticipating hazards in the riding environment
• Acceleration, using gears and braking
• Manual handling and manoeuvring at slow speeds
• Cornering, balance, and avoiding skids
• Rider signals
• Positioning
• Overtaking
• Riding on motorways and multi-lane carriageways
• Are you fit to ride
• Is your machine fit to ride

Don't worry, this is a practical course so you will not be in a classroom for hours. We provide coaching for a range of motorcycles.

After each ride  your will receive a report containing an assessment of your riding and a development plan, so that you can practice before the next session.

Our preferred exam provider is RoSPA. The reason for this is you are required to take the test every 3 years which ensures that you are riding to the required standard and remain safe whilst riding.

You will need to book your own advanced test RoSPA via their website and their examiner will contact you directly.

Mock Test - we can provide a mock test with a different trainer. This replicates what happens on test day and can help with any pre-test nerves as you are ready for another person following you.
